Who would drive for six hours, starting at 3:30 a.m., to see your rooster in a crowing contest? Your grandmother, of course!

One wonderful thing about living in the country (if a bit tiring for the adults) is 4-H - more specifically, 4-H projects with live animals. What a lot is learned on these projects, with every expense and incident catalogued in a notebook and an exhibit at the end to show off your animals!
