Bobby Leo Anderson, age 74 of Rush Colorado passed away March 5, 2009 at Falcon, Colorado.
Bob was born Oct. 16, 1934 to Leo E. and Margaret E. (Offutt) Anderson in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Bob grew up in the Edison area were he attended school. On September 5, 1953 in Raton New Mexico Bob married Peggy D. Murphy. To this union four children were born.
Bob’s occupations included a rancher, cattle truck driver, diesel mechanic, and heavy equipment operator. Bob and Peggy made their home in the Rush Colorado area for the past thirty years.
Bob was a member of the Living Word Community Church in Calhan, Colorado. He was also a Mason, and a member of the Tri-County Volunteer Fire Department. Bob enjoyed roping, rodeo, fishing, driving, making venison and beef jerky, and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great grand children.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and a son-in-law Tom Spurlock.
Bob is survived by his wife Peggy Anderson of Rush, Colo., children Robert and wife Amy Jo Anderson of Canon City, Colo., Debbie and husband Dan Roberts of Boyero, Colo., Beth and husband Marty Hall of Falcon, Colo., Cyndi Spurlock of Yoder, Colo. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; Jason, Bryan, Mike, Joleen, Tonya, Colton, and Kinsey, seven great grandchildren, Savannah, Chance, Macy, Jonathan, Riley, Jeffery, and Zaden.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Living Word Community Church in Calhan, Colorado with Pastor Rick Cofer officiating. Burial will follow in the Kanza Cemetery near Rush, Colorado.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 9, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Living Word Community Church in Calhan, Colorado.

Jim Kerr
La Junta, Colo.
Funeral services for Jim Kerr, 63, of La Junta, Colo., were held Thursday, March 12, at the First Church of the Nazarene in La Junta, Colo.
Mr. Kerr died Sunday, March 8, 2009, at his La Junta home.
He was born on Aug. 23, 1945, in Las Animas to Noel and Jewel (Jones) Kerr.
He was a coach and teacher at Peetz for eight years. He also was the Horsemanship Director at the Colorado Boys Ranch for over 15 years. He was able to do what he loved; breeding and training race horses. He trained two paint champion horses and he traveled all over racing his own horses and achieving hundreds of wins over the years.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine of the La Junta home; sons, Shawn Kerr of Ordway; Dustin (Shannon) Kerr of Brush; Tyson (Jennifer) Kerr of Sterling; Trent (Erin) Kerr of Wiggins; brothers and sisters, Lorena Bogner of Las Animas; Linda (Charles) Patterson of Las Animas; Nola Camfield of McClave; Jean (Bill) Turner of Longmont; David (Patsy) Kerr of Cheraw; Gary (Pearl Hodges) Kerr of Fowler; Sandy (Merle) Singer of La Junta; Diana Channel of McClave; Pat (John) Veltri of Gill; grandchildren, Jaimmie Kerr of Ordway; Alyssa Kerr of Beaver City, Neb.; Madison and Logan Kerr; Preston, Haley and Landen Kerr; Cole and Kennedy Kerr; one great-granddaughter, Rylee Kerr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Jewel Kerr; brothers, Charles, Kenneth, George Kerr; sister, Martha Weirich; brothers-in-law, Alvin Bogner and Gene Camfield.
