Dear Friends and Fellow Coloradans:
On Sunday in my hometown of Grand Junction, I announced that I am running to be the next governor of Colorado.
I’m running because I sense a special opportunity for Colorado. I see in front of us the dawn of a new day: a new day for those of us who know Colorado can do better; a new day for those of us who see the direction of this country and our state, and we’re concerned. We’re ready to push back, to fight back and chart a new beginning.
I believe our best days are ahead. Colorado can do better. But it won’t happen automatically, or easily, or without some tough choices. Despite all the challenges, Colorado can find its way back to progress and prosperity. I believe it.
I’m ready to take up this challenge and ask that you stand up and join my family and me and thousands of Coloradans from every corner of our state as we chart the course for change. This important endeavor is possible only with the help of friends like you by our side.
Today we begin a statewide tour to knock on doors, hold town hall meetings, and discuss how to get this state moving in the right direction again.
