Kody Lostroh, a native Coloradoan and the 2009 Professional Bull Riding World Champion, is a headliner during the three-day Professional Bull Riding (PBR) event at the National Western Stock Show.

Professional bull riders from around the world will make their way into the Mile High City January 11-13.  With over $100,000 in total prize money and a coveted National Western championship up for grabs, cowboys are guaranteed to ride for a win.  The competition will be stiff.  Nearly 100 cowboys representing five countries will contend for a paycheck.

Along with World Champion Kody Lohstroh, another local favorite is Greeley bull rider Josh Koschel.  Brazilians Guilherme Marchi and Valdiron de Oliveira, third and fourth respectively in the standings, are also guaranteed to ride for a win.  Debuting their return to the PBR, Corey Navarre and Jody Newberry will be hot on their heels.  Other names to watch include: Ednei Caminhas, L.J. Jenkins, Brian Canter, Dustin Elliot, Austin Meier, Shane Proctor, Wiley Peterson, Sean Willingham, and Mike White.

You can bet the bulls will be ready for them.  The bulk of the stock will be supplied by two outstanding stock contractors, Oklahoman Dillon Paige and three-time PBR stock contractor of the year, Chad Burger, who both have a reputation for some of the best bulls in the business.

January 11 and 12 will also feature the National Western’s team penning finals.  The 2010 PBR Bull Riding Denver Chute-Out Finals will be held January 13 in the Denver Coliseum.  Tickets start at $12 and are on sale now.  To purchase visit www.nationalwestern.com, call 1-888-551-5004, or visit King Soopers.
